Brief about Campus Innovation Denmark:

CAMPUS INNOVATION DANMARK –

is a voluntary network association, founded 10.11.2010.

We work strategically for a significantly improved campus innovation culture.

We start in Trekroner, 4000 Roskilde –

As we believe there is room for significant improvements here

– and a surplus of really talented identities.

We want to be a think tank for the most talented talents and a strong investment network.

We will become a solid springboard for innovative development.

Our goal is to discover, partner with and support the best campus innovators

Here is the definition of innovation by which we manage:

It implies a deviation from the usual

ways of seeing and doing things

Innovation presupposes a broad approach to information

Data only becomes information when it is interpreted, i.e. added

opinion

– and we could add in Danish:

it must be a niche, a real perceived need that is covered in reality,

better than previously seen.Innovation is the most superior solution

method developed and implemented in reality over time..

Background

Denmark does not discover, recognize and invest early enough

 in the particularly creative seeds – which have the potential

to grow into strong innovative forces. Failure to take good care

of promising early stage seeds limits healthy and sustainable growth.

Good seeds that are given the right conditions from the start turn

more easily into impressive and viable identities and solutions.

The campus area is the HR plantation in which our society

would do well to invest wisely…

Our vision

We want to be the best at discovering, inviting and integrating social

innovative talents and supporting and branding our members

so that they are fully equipped to unfold their unique talents

together with forward-thinking investors.

Our mission

CAMPUS INNOVATION’s mission is to attract, support

and co-finance the development of the burgeoning

creative talent pool that emanates from important

Campuses, in which we have important members.

Our goal

* We will promote social entrepreneurship at an elite level.

* We want to create an ‘Entrepreneur plantation’ for a burgeoning pool of talent.

* We will set new standards for how campus innovation can take place.

* We will develop the virtual and physical creative framework in the Campus area.

* We will invest in the cultivation of the talented identities while they are bursting with vitality.

* We will create events, both social, professional and network-creating.

* We will offer advice and knowledge sharing to social entrepreneurs throughout the region.
